Founded in 2008, AKSID operates across construction and infrastructure, with capabilities spanning construction management, concrete operations, civil engineering, and consultancy services. The company has participated in major national projects, including the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge (Jamuna Railway Bridge), the Kanchpur–Meghna–Gumti 2nd Bridge, structural works for five stations of the Dhaka Metro, and terminal construction at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA). To date, AKSID has supplied more than 9 million cubic feet of concrete and has received industry awards such as “Best Subcontractor” and “Best Safety” for on-time delivery and engineering quality.

As part of the partnership, OYH will leverage its R&D and manufacturing capabilities in waterproofing, coatings, and specialty mortars, supported by its global supply and service network, while AKSID will contribute local execution resources and nationwide reach in Bangladesh. Together, the two parties will pursue opportunities across infrastructure, commercial and residential developments, and industrial facilities, and deliver system solutions for waterproofing and protection—including anti-corrosion coatings and anti-seepage systems—across relevant projects.

At the ceremony, Hu Zhongqiu (Nancy) said the partnership is an important step in strengthening OYH’s presence in South Asia, adding that both parties will work closely to translate advanced technologies and products into high-quality project outcomes. SAUD ANAM said OYH’s technology strengths and global footprint will support AKSID’s growth, and expressed confidence that the partnership will create new opportunities for Bangladesh’s construction sector.

Looking ahead, OYH and AKSID will build on this partnership to advance collaboration in the construction and building materials sector and support more resilient and sustainable infrastructure development in the region.
